They rode on in constant silence, Robb seemingly focused on the path while Jeyne was lost in what to say to him. He didn't want to give promises or consider the future. What future did they really have? It was a void, an endless stretch of time that she had never seen or experienced before. There was no household to oversee or her mother to dictate her every move.
It was nearing dawn when they seemed to slow, nearing the docks of the Reach. Her legs were sore and she could barely keep her eyes open. There were ships nearby, there had to be one she could pay for passage.
"Which one should we hire?" She asked, nearly slumping against her mare.
